USDA Bioenergy Program for Advanced Biofuels Supports Projects Across the Country

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) this week announced that it is now accepting applications from advanced biofuel producers for support through the Bioenergy Program for Advanced Biofuels. Since 2009, more than 275 eligible producers in 44 states have received payments.

Assessment and Debate Over Renewable Fuel Standard Continues

The House Committee on Energy and Commerce is continuing its assessment of the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). The Committee has issued its fourth white paper focusing on "Energy Policy." The Committee is seeking stakeholder input by June 21 on a series of questions. In the meantime, the House Oversight Committee held a hearing on the RFS, and the Energy Information Administration (EIA) has published a series of informative background briefs on related topics.

16th Annual Congressional Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency EXPO Draws a Crowd

On June 12, the 16th Annual Congressional Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency EXPO + Forum was held on Capitol Hill. Hundreds attended to hear speakers from Congress, federal agencies, and renewable energy and energy efficiency industries. Bioenergy was well represented.
