As part of its commitment to promote and advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice, every year the Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI) awards $4,000 each to three undergraduate students pursuing studies relevant to environmental, clean energy, and climate policy at a historically-Black college or university (HBCU) in the mid-Atlantic or southern region. An anonymous benefactor established a new endowment in EESI’s name to support graduate students at the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration of the George Washington University Columbian College of Arts and Sciences.
