Bi-Partisan Bill to Reinstate the Biodiesel Tax Credit

 

On February 13, Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) introduced legislation to reinstate the biodiesel tax credit, which expired in December of 2013. The Biodiesel Tax Incentive Reform and Extension Act (S. 2021) would extend the $1 per gallon tax credit to biodiesel producers through 2017.

Representative Dave Loebsack (D-IA) Introduces Renewable Fuel Infrastructure Act

 

On February 12, Representative Dave Loebsack (D-IA) introduced the Renewable Fuel Utilization, Expansion and Leadership (RE-FUEL) Act. The bill would establish a competitive grant program through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to award grants of up to $100,000 for renewable energy fueling infrastructure projects related to biofuels, hydrogen, tanks, piping, and electric vehicle projects.
