Letter from the President: 40 Years of Advancing Climate Solutions Together

To mark EESI’s 40th anniversary, we revisited our bipartisan heritage and achievements to date. One thing has never been in short supply: impact. Your partnership has been essential at every step.

We published a series of articles telling the story of how our work has evolved. I hope you enjoy learning about our history with Congress that led to record-high interest in our briefings in 2023. And the origins of our work with rural utilities, which received a record total of low-interest loans last year.

I am grateful for our shared values that push us to urgently address the climate crisis.

Of course, a lot has changed over 40 years. Sometimes politics make climate education more challenging. But we never waver in our belief that policymakers must have access to the resources we provide, even when the odds of federal action seem long.

We have more to do, for sure. Thanks for being part of this now and going forward.
