EESI is excited to announce that it has been awarded the GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Award again, for the 11th year in a row! So far, EESI is one of only two environmental nonprofits in Washington, D.C. to have earned a Top-Rated Award in 2021.

Charity Navigator and Guidestar, two leading charity evaluators, have also given EESI their highest ratings, 4 Star Charity and Platinum. We are so grateful for these recognitions which help us keep doing the work on climate change that you’re depending on us to do.

None of this would be possible without the amazing support we receive from you! As our donors, reviewers, volunteers, stakeholders, partners, and collaborators, we want to thank you all so much for the great reviews we have already received on GreatNonprofits this year! This is the earliest in the year that we have achieved Top-Rated status, all thanks to you!

GreatNonprofits is the “Yelp” of the nonprofit world, allowing users familiar with a nonprofit to share their experiences by leaving a review and rating. Reviews such as the ones below help potential donors, stakeholders, and the public understand the value of what EESI is doing every day to advocate for climate change solutions.

“A beacon of clarity on environmental issues that affect us, our health, and the health of our planet. EESI has redoubled its efforts to get timely information to where it can be most effective (especially Capitol Hill) and advance viable solutions, without partisanship.”

 — Jonathan Herz, GreatNonprofits User (and EESI volunteer senior fellow)

“EESI is my go-to source for information on federal climate policy. The briefings are interesting, the fact sheets are informative, the staff is helpful, and I love getting Climate Change Solutions every other week!”

 — Asayyed555, GreatNonprofits User

“EESI is a phenomenal organization that provides information and data on climate challenges and climate change solutions. Its information is derived from many sources and is used to help inform Congress and local, state and federal agencies. EESI helps to create dialog and to develop solutions to environmental and energy challenges..”

— Joseph Cavarretta, GreatNonprofits User (and EESI board member)

If EESI’s work has proven beneficial to you in any way, we’d be grateful if you would take a moment to review EESI.

We would love to hear why you care about climate change and why you see EESI’s work as important, or how it has helped you. We cherish hearing from you, as we constantly strive to make our work even more helpful and relevant.

Additionally, if you’d like to power this work to urgently address climate change by advancing resilience and sustainable solutions, please make a donation today, or set up a monthly gift to keep powering this work year-round. Thank you for your commitment to a sustainable and resilient future!

EESI is neither funded by Congress nor is it a membership organization with dues-based revenue: we are an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization powered by charitable donations from people who care.

We recognize that this is an especially challenging time as communities continue to cope with the pandemic. We hope that you and your family are staying healthy and happy. Again, thank you for your dedication to climate change solutions!
