The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) will celebrate its 30th anniversary at its 2016 Annual Meeting in Providence, Rhode Island, from September 11-14.
Over the past three decades, the State and Territory Energy Offices have worked together and with partners at the national, state, and local levels to advance practical, cost-effective, and impactful policies and programs. This meeting will celebrate their past successes and convene decisionmakers around today’s pressing energy issues.
The agenda features workshops, speeches and meetings covering a wide variety of topics, including clean energy commercialization, grid modernization, integrating affordability, zero-emission base load power generation, residential energy financing, the Quadrennial Energy Review, and collaboration opportunities with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE). Senator Jack Reed (RI) will give opening remarks about advancing energy independence, clean energy investment, and access to affordable energy. The annual meeting will end with a tour of the first U.S. offshore wind facility, Rhode Island’s Block Island Wind Farm, a 30 megawatt system scheduled to open shortly after NASEO's Annual Meeting.
Register today to reserve your spot in the dynamic discussions and intimate networking opportunities that will help shape the future of state energy cooperation and policy innovation.
