Highlights:
This week, the Preventing PFAS Runoff at Airports Act (S. 3662), which would authorize Federal Aviation Administration reimbursement of certain testing equipment that does not discharge perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), passed the Senate and was sent to the House.
The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works held a hearing to discuss legislation including the Smoke-Ready Communities Act (S. 2661) and the Smoke Planning and Research Act of 2021 (S. 2421), two bills that address the impacts of wildfire smoke.
