From September 13 to 17, House Committees continued their marathon markups on the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package. The House Energy and Commerce Committee moved forward with its section of the bill, which includes a $150 billion Clean Energy Payment Program. The House Ways and Means Committee approved an estimated $235 billion for clean energy, including extending tax credits for renewable energy. The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee approved $715 billion to improve wastewater and drinking water infrastructure and invest in zero-emissions vehicles and high-speed rail.
