November 10, 2020
From October 23 to November 9, six bills related to environmental and energy topics were referred to Congressional committees: one in the Senate and five in the House. No relevant committee hearings were held.
Highlights
Activity on the Hill has slowed in anticipation of the election November 3. While Democrats are projected to maintain their majority in the House, Republicans have so far flipped four seats, including Minnesota’s 7th District, held by House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson. Republicans are expected to maintain control of the Senate, but that majority could be upset by two run-off elections in Georgia to be held January 5th.
