Highlights:
A message on Senate action for the Providing Research and Estimates of Changes in Precipitation (PRECIP) Act (H.R. 1437) was sent to the House. The bill passed the Senate last week and would direct the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to study and plan for updating maximum precipitation estimates. This would facilitate an improved understanding of the extreme weather caused by climate change.
In addition, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Survey Act was introduced. The bill would require the NRC to survey its employees to improve the commission’s efficiency and effectiveness.
