Highlights
During this time period, Congress focused on land conservation. H.R.7045 would require the Secretary of Agriculture to evaluate land that could be included in a National Forest in Hawai’i, H.R.7092 would dedicate permanent funding to the Land and Water Conservation Fund, H.R.7098 would expand the land area of Saguaro National Park, and H.R.7099 would provide a land parcel to the Coconino National Forest in Arizona.
Other bills were introduced that would address food security issues during the COVID-19 pandemic. H.R.7047 would provide additional immediate support to the farm and ranch stress assistant network, and S.3893 would amend the Food Security Act of 1985 to allow access to certain land during a pandemic.
