On March 1, the House Agriculture Committee held the second hearing of the year focused on the Farm Bill. Additionally, the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee held a hearing on March 4 on advancing the science of nature-based infrastructure.

In the Senate, Environment and Public Works Committee Chair Thomas Carper (D-Del.) and Ranking Member Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) introduced bipartisan bills—the Recycling and Composting Accountability Act (S.3743) and the Recycling Infrastructure and Accessibility Act of 2022 (S.3742). The bills come after the committee held a hearing late last year on the circular economy.
