Highlights:
The Public Land Renewable Energy Development Act of 2023 (H.R.178) was referred to the House Committee on Agriculture’s Subcommittee on Forestry. The bill would establish priority areas for renewable energy development and allow wind and solar energy revenues to be set aside for habitat restoration and public land access.
The Senate Committee on the Budget held a hearing on the costs that climate-related economic risks can inflict on the federal government and global economy.
