Highlights:

This week, the Water Resources Development Act of 2022 (H.R.7776) passed the House. The bill would authorize the U.S. Army Corps to carry out water resource projects ranging from water supply to flood control, hydropower, and shoreline restoration. The bill was combined with the Department of Defense’s reauthorization bill, the National Defense Authorization Act.

Finally, the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry held a hearing on research programs of the 2023 Farm Bill. EESI compiles high-level summaries of all Farm Bill hearings, as well as briefings and articles, on our 2023 Farm Bill topic page.
