Environment & Energy Congressional Round-Up | December 13-17

 

From December 13 to 17, Congress focused on conservation, climate change, and disaster recovery. The Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee approved S.46, which reauthorizes the Coral Reef Conservation Act. Additionally, the House Committee on Administration held a hearing on how climate change is affecting the Smithsonian. In the Senate, the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs examined authorization for the Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery program, which provides federal dollars for climate-fueled disasters.
