EESI Earns the Highest Rating from Candid for the Third Year in a Row!

EESI is proud to announce that we have achieved the coveted Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid for three years in a row!

The strong operational transparency you have come to expect from EESI is what has led to this highest level of recognition. Only 0.7 percent of all nonprofit organizations on Candid (formerly Guidestar) achieve the Platinum Seal! For nearly 40 years, the EESI name has stood for integrity, insights, and nonpartisan, actionable climate solutions.

What can you find on EESI’s Candid profile? Once you’ve created a login, which takes just a few minutes and is free for everyone, you can review EESI’s financials, programs, strategies, progress indicators, accomplishments, and future plans. You’ll see that EESI has been providing this level of transparency for many years.

At the Platinum level, EESI also reports board leadership practices, and demographic information for the organization’s leaders. And we annually track the number of website visitors, a key performance metric which shows that EESI’s resources on advancing equitable, science-based climate solutions are reaching more and more people. Our resources include Congressional briefings, articles, podcast episodes, fact sheets, and issue briefs.

By focusing on win-win solutions that help the economy and treat climate change seriously, EESI has considered climate change action a moral imperative since 1988, four years after we were founded. As you know, addressing climate while centering equity has never been more urgent than it is now.
