We are facing a climate crisis. We must significantly reduce carbon emissions in the next 8-10 to avoid catastrophic changes to our planet. EESI is helping to move America to a clean energy future with our unique and successful integrated approach of:

EESI was formed by a bi-partisan group of Congressional leaders to provide policymakers with credible, timely information and innovative policy ideas. EESI organizes 25-35 Congressional briefings and events each year on global climate change, energy efficiency, renewable energy, transportation, sustainable biomass and other critical topics facing Congress. EESI produces four electronic newsletters, helping thousands of stakeholders across the country keep informed and participate in the national policy debate. EESI provides "win-win" solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while creating jobs, keeping energy dollars at home, improving health, increasing national security, and many other societal benefits.

Copies of our audited financial statements or tax status determination letter are available upon request. EESI is classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable, tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. Gifts and grants by individuals and corporations are both tax-exempt to us and tax deductible to tax-paying persons or firms. Our federal tax ID number is 52-1268030. EESI also is listed by Guidestar.
